TWICKENHAM PARAKEETS FC

Introduction

For younger players, Twickenham Parakeets gives 4 to 7 year old girls the opportunity to experience the game in a more welcoming environment. The aim is to provide a fun introduction to football and a pathway to girls who wish to join Twickenham Cygnets FC.

Philosophy

We believe football should be coached in small groups during these foundation stages. Therefore, we maintain a high coach to player ratio to maximise the amount of individual learning time per session. We also believe football should be fun and use game based practices and creative play to coach key football skills. We follow the The FA's approach to player development focusing on the key technical, psychological, social and physical aspects of the game. Practices cater for players of all abilities and are designed to be age appropriate.
