Twickenham Cygnets FC relies on a dedicated group of volunteers to help keep the club a safe, welcoming, fun and supportive environment for all our players and visitors. 1. Team Leads

Take charge of a team on match days and reveal your inner Mourinho. A basic knowledge of football would be helpful but not necessary. Training will be provided. 

 

When? 

Sunday mornings. Ideally a shared with role with other parents.

 

Current Vacancies

Currently recruiting for our U9s (Purples, Blues, Whites and Greens). 

3. Welfare Officers

Safeguarding our players and supporting their welfare will always be our priority. In support of this, we are now looking to appoint a dedicated Welfare Officer across the following age groups (U12, U11, U10, U9 and U8). The intention is to  provide all our players and parents with a nominated individual to discuss any concerns relating to player welfare. 

Those interested, will be required to complete a Safeguarding Children and Welfare Officer Course (link below) which the club will arrange on your behalf. 

As a girls only club, we are particularly keen to hear from our female community for these important roles.

5. Results Secretary

Our Results Secretary will be responsible for collecting the results of each game on a Sunday from our Team Leads and inputting these into The Surrey FA website by midnight on the day of the game. 

When? 

Approx. 1 to 2 hours every Sunday evening.  

7. Match Day Officials

With a growing number of teams and matches each Sunday, we are always looking for support on match days. Specifically match day referees across all our age groups and assistant referees from U12 and above. 

Training will be provided for those interested.

When? 

Approx. 1 hour every Sunday morning.  

2. Coaching Opportunities

Interested in becoming a coach? We are always keen for more people to join our team of dedicated coaches and help our players continued development. Experience a taste of what you will learn with The FA's FREE Playmaker course (link below).

Once this has been completed online and you're keen to continue, the club will support you achieve your Level 1 - Introduction to Coaching Football qualification.

As a girls only club, we are on a mission to increase the number of female coaches in the sport so priority will be given to this group.  

4. Fixture Secretary

As the club continues to grow, we are now looking to appoint a fixture secretary to help plan match times, pitch availability with our Team Leads and communicate details to our vising teams. The role applies to home games only.

When? 

Approx. 1 to 2 hours each Monday.  

6. First Aid Officers

As part of our commitment to player welfare, ensuring sufficient First Aid cover during training and matches is key. We are fortunate to have had a large number of parents who have completed this course but will always be keen to add to this group as new players join the club.  

The course can be completed online in approx. 2 hours (link below) and this will be funded by the club. If there is sufficient interest, the club will arrange for an FA appointed Tutor to run a face to face group session instead.
